Request User Certificate

Please note the following before filling the user certificate request form. For further information see the guide to getting a user certificate.

Organisational Unit

The OU should be a DNS domain like dept.uni.ie.

The OU (organisational unit) must be specified as the DNS domain of your department, often the part of your email address after the @-sign. For example: cs.tcd.ie or it.nuigalway.ie.

PIN (Request Passphrase)

The PIN should be a unique 10-character code and not an existing password.

You must enter a code or password of 10 or more characters. The value entered should not be easy to guess: e.g. 6uPth56SOn or yowBXImgAD. It is very important that you do not enter a valuable password such as the password for your email account or for the administrator account on your computer. Please keep a note of what you enter here as the Registration Authority should ask you to supply this value in order to verify your request.
